Based on the current rainfall data and river water levels of Hydrological Stations in Kelani River, there is a potential for a minor flood occurrence in low-lying areas of Kelani River valley located in Seethawaka, Dompe, Homagama, Kaduwela, Biyagama, Kolonnawa, and Wattala D/S Divisions within the next 48 hours. Residents in these areas and drivers passing through are advised to remain vigilant. The Disaster Management Authorities are urged to take necessary precautions accordingly.
