2025 Gem Sri Lanka Exhibition Inaugurated with President’s Support
The “Gem Sri Lanka – 2025” gem and jewellery exhibition was officially opened today morning (08) at the Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel, with President Anura Kumara Disanayake in attendance.
Hosted annually by the Chinese Fort Gem and Jewellery Traders Association (CGJTA), the exhibition will run from today until January 10, welcoming visitors from near and far.
After the inauguration, President Disanayake visited the various exhibition booths, engaging in conversations with industry leaders to address the challenges faced by gem and jewellery manufacturers and promote constructive dialogue.
A group photo was taken with the organizing committee of “Gem Sri Lanka – 2025,” which features 103 booths this year and has attracted a diverse range of local and international buyers, showcasing its global significance.
The event was attended by prominent figures such as Minister of Industry and Enterprise Development, Mr. Sunil Handunnetti, Chairman of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority, Mr. Naveen Sooriyarachchi, and Chairman of CGJTA, Mr. Marjan Faleel, as well as various diplomats and distinguished guests.
