2025 Gem and Jewellery Exhibition in Sri Lanka Inaugurated by the President

The “Gem Sri Lanka – 2025” gem and jewellery exhibition was officially opened this morning (08) at the Cinnamon Bentota Beach Hotel, with President Anura Kumara Disanayake in attendance.

Organized by the Chinese Fort Gem and Jewellery Traders Association (CGJTA) on an annual basis, the exhibition will run from today until January 10, welcoming visitors from all walks of life.

After the inauguration ceremony, President Disanayake toured the exhibition stalls, engaging in productive conversations with industry players to address the issues faced by gem and jewellery manufacturers, promoting a harmonious exchange of ideas.

A group photo session followed where President Disanayake posed with the organizing committee of “Gem Sri Lanka – 2025.” The exhibition boasts a total of 103 booths this year, drawing a diverse crowd of buyers from both local and international markets, showcasing its widespread popularity.

Among the esteemed guests in attendance were the Minister of Industry and Enterprise Development, Mr. Sunil Handunnetti, Chairman of the National Gem and Jewellery Authority, Mr. Naveen Sooriyarachchi, and Chairman of CGJTA, Mr. Marjan Faleel, as well as several diplomats and other distinguished individuals.

The event was attended by Minister Sunil Handunnetti, Mr. Naveen Sooriyarachchi, Mr. Marjan Faleel, diplomats, and other notable guests, highlighting the global appeal of the exhibition.
