Prime Minister chairs meeting of Central Cultural Fund Board of Governors

The first gathering of the Board of Governors of CCF under the leadership of its Chairman, Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya took place at the Prime Minister’s Office on 30th January.

During the meeting, there was a focus on the upcoming tasks for the Central Cultural Fund, which include preparing accounts, conducting audits promptly, identifying service needs, filling vacancies in the approved positions, providing training opportunities for CCF officials, and improving facilities and infrastructure for local and international tourists visiting cultural heritage sites.

Additionally, acknowledging the developments in the tourism industry, they agreed to engage in discussions with relevant organizations regarding the provision of high-quality services to tourists and the conservation and development of cultural heritage sites by the Central Cultural Fund.

Minister of Cultural Affairs Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Deputy Minister Gamagedara Dissanayake, Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthree, Director General of CCF Nilan Cooray, and other members of the CCF Board of Governors were present at the meeting.


The first meeting of the Board of Governors of CCF, led by Chairman Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya, discussed future tasks for the Central Cultural Fund like preparing accounts, auditing, filling vacancies, providing training, and improving facilities for tourists visiting cultural sites. They also agreed to collaborate with relevant institutions to enhance services for tourists and conserve cultural heritage sites. Minister of Cultural Affairs Hiniduma Sunil Senevi, Deputy Minister Gamagedara Dissanayake, Secretary to the Prime Minister Pradeep Saputhanthree, Director General of CCF Nilan Cooray, and other members attended the meeting held at the Prime Minister’s Office on January 30.
