President Meets with German Leader in Berlin
Ceremonial Welcome with State Honours at Bellevue Palace in Berlin
President Anura Kumara Disanayake, currently on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, was warmly received today (11) by German President Mr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Upon arriving at Bellevue Palace in Berlin, President Disanayake received full state honours, including a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by the German Armed Forces. The President also took part in inspecting the military parade.
After the official welcome ceremony, President Disanayake and President Steinmeier engaged in bilateral discussions.
The talks focused on strengthening economic and international relations between the two countries, with a special emphasis on enhancing cooperation in vocational training and the tourism industry.
