This is srilanka one off ancient capital you must visit one time it's nice view in top off the rock but my reccomendtin doesn't go there public holiday becouse much more visitor..

This citadel of Yapahuwa is one of the ephemeral capitals of medieval Sri Lanka. It's a very beautiful place comes with a historical value. At the top you could experience strong winds and breathtaking views. Though it is not a very big hike, high and steep stairs throughout the journey make it bit challenging. Easily accessible through Maho. Access roads are fine, any average vehicle can reach here and parking also available at reasonable rates. It's really worthwhile to have a visit.

The rock fortification is striking due to its distinctive architectural design. can ascend much higher to the summit of the rock to see a tiny dagobah and enjoy a pleasant view. Although there were notices on the board indicating that tickets were available, no one was asked for one at the door.

It’s a rock fortress. The Fortress is spectacular. We enjoyed the climb which had steep steps up-to a point. There is also a side path which is easier but then you would miss climbing the ancient steps . It’s too much tough to climb the rock in between 11am to around 3pm because the sunrise.At 3.30 pm it was shady and made it easier. The cave temple also has 800 year old paintings. The surrounding garden also has wall relics to see.

It is an ancient Kingdom. There are ruins of the buildings we are smooth carvings are done out of stone. Climbing up to the Yapahuwa rock is a adventurous journey and hike with panoramic views. When you reach to the top of the mountain you feel like you are at the top of the world. It's a very beautiful place with 360° view. It's a best place for relaxing.
