All passengers and crew on a flight that crashed and overturned during landing at Toronto Pearson airport in Canada have survived, according to the airport’s chief executive.
Emergency services reported that one child and two adults were critically injured in the incident. Images shared on social media depict a plane flipped over, resting on its roof on the snow-covered tarmac, and it seems to be missing at least one of its wings.
Toronto Pearson airport stated that the crash involved a Delta Air Lines flight arriving from Minneapolis. Of the 80 individuals on board, 76 were passengers and four were crew members.
A total of eighteen passengers have been taken to the hospital, as reported by the airline.
