CPC instructed to take legal action against 618 fuel stations

Minister of Energy and Vitality Kanchana Wijesekera has revealed that lower than half of the gas stations operated by the Ceylon Petroleum Company (CPC) have maintained the minimal required shares on all merchandise final week.

Accordingly, solely 432 gas stations out of the 1,050 operated by CPC had maintained the minimal required shares of all merchandise, as per a revelation made throughout a progress assembly held with CPC and the Ceylon Petroleum Storage Terminals Ltd (CPSTL) yesterday (07 June). 

Talking with regard to the remaining 618 gas stations below the CPC, Wijesekera disclosed that whereas 363 had maintained the minimal inventory for one product, 255 gas stations had failed to take care of minimal shares for any product. 

Thus, taking to Twitter, Wijesekera famous that CPC was instructed to overview the matter and take all vital authorized motion in opposition to these sellers which have violated the phrases of the contract.
