Myanmar’s Operation to Rescue 15 Sri Lankans from Myawaddy on May 6
According to the Foreign Minister’s instructions, officials from the Myanmar mission are heading to Meosot today to rescue another 15 Sri Lankans from Meawaddy, Myanmar, on 06 May 2025, stated the Foreign Ministry.
Their tickets and local transport will be provided by IOM Thailand.
All arrangements have been made through MFA Thailand, in coordination with the Governor of Tak Province and Immigration.
The Foreign Ministry announced that, following the Foreign Minister’s instructions, officials from the Myanmar mission are heading to Mae Sot to rescue 15 Sri Lankans from Myawaddy, Myanmar, on May 6, 2025. The International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand is providing their tickets and local transport. All arrangements have been coordinated through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) Thailand, in collaboration with the Governor of Tak Province and Immigration authorities.
