Police fired tear gas and used water cannons to disperse protesters at Ibbanwala Junction near Metropolis Hall in Colombo all through the demonstration organised by the Nationwide People’s Vitality (NPP).
The NPP protest was staged in the direction of the federal authorities demanding the holding of elections instantly.
The NPP protest march reached the Metropolis Hall, Colombo whatever the Courtroom Order.
Police has blocked the movement of the protest march at Metropolis Hall and the police be taught out the court docket docket order to the protesters.
