Predicting the Weather
Showers are expected at times in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. There may be several spells of showers in the North-western province.
Showers or thundershowers might occur at various places elsewhere in the island during the evening or night. Some areas could experience fairly heavy showers, exceeding 50 mm.
The general public is kindly urged to take necessary precautions to reduce damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
