Sri Lankan Ambassador Visits Saudi Hajj Minister
Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Omar Lebbe Ameer Ajwad met with Minister of Hajj and Umrah of Saudi Arabia, Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah at the Hajj Ministry Office in Riyadh.
Minister Al-Rabiah welcomed Ambassador Ameer Ajwad to the Kingdom and appreciated the cooperation of Sri Lankan Hajj delegations during the annual Hajj seasons. Ambassador Ameer Ajwad expressed gratitude for the support of the Government of Saudi Arabia, especially the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in facilitating Sri Lankan Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation in accommodating more Sri Lankan pilgrims in the future.
Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah has previously served as the Minister of Health and the Minister of Commerce and Industry of Saudi Arabia, and has held other significant positions. Ambassador Ameer Ajwad was accompanied by Mohamed Anas, Minister/Head of Chancery of the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Riyadh.
Ambassador Ameer Ajwad of Sri Lanka met with Saudi Minister of Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Tawfig Al-Rabiah in Riyadh to discuss cooperation during the annual Hajj seasons. Minister Al-Rabiah appreciated Sri Lanka’s support for Hajj pilgrims, while Ambassador Ajwad thanked Saudi Arabia for facilitating the religious rituals of Sri Lankan pilgrims. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation to accommodate more pilgrims in the future. Dr. Al-Rabiah has previously held significant positions in Saudi Arabia, including Minister of Health and Minister of Commerce and Industry. Ambassador Ajwad was accompanied by Mohamed Anas from the Sri Lankan Embassy in Riyadh.
