Conditions hazardous to health!!!!Chocking 5 Five big COCKROACH's by the sink connected to the restaurant.I was told to go there in order to wash my hands after eating.Later that night my friend got very very sick .We were both suffering from food poisoning, without no doubt caused by this restaurant!
I feel we got CHEATED.We are non-local and came in a group of 6. The crab we ordered were large and were weighed live in front of us. We had 2 crabs in different sauce, 6 pieces of prawns, bread, 2 vegetables, and 1 prawn cake side dishes plus one round of beers.The crab dish was tasty but the prawns were overcooked. Otherwise we had a good experience with the waiter and server.When we reached our hotel, we kind of ask each other what they thought about our dinner? It wasn't cheap,: we spent about LKR 14,500 each and we felt we got CHEATED. The crabs they served were much smaller than the ones we ordered. Nobody spoke about it during the dinner coz we didn't want to spoil the mood. 😒So, just observe carefully what they serve you.
We came here because of the good ratings. We were the only guests in a relativ steril room on a Wednesday evening. The server and his supervisor could not repeat my order after three tries and would not write anything down even though I suggested it.The main motivation for the server was to sell us many big crab even though we wanted a medium size only for my daughter. We could see his disappointment after our order in his face. We finally agreed on the smallest crab of 800 gram at a price of 13.400.! The menu showed medium sized crab at 6.600.The crab was served after 10 minutes and it was great. After that there was the big silence. Nobody would appear in the restaurant for 30 minutes. I had to go into the hallway to order another beer… Nobody ever asked us for more drinks!After one hour we had received two of three appetizers and one was ( of course) the wrong one. After an energetic critique to the boss, I got the missing appetizer quickly. The fish we ordered never came…In summary: good food, awful service, overpriced and a very sterile atmosphere. We will never come back!

Quite expensive. Pay attention they charge “live crab” fee per 100g if you order and choose a live crab. Other prices are for frozen as I understand.Ask not to make it hot if you do not like hot and spicy food. They do very hot and spicy even if you order classic garlic+butter crab.
I placed an order for Crab Curry to take away and they said it will be ready in 30 minutes. This restaurant is located in the Beverly Hills Hotel. When we arrived to pick up the Crab Curry, the restaurant was closed but they had left the crab curry with the lady at the hotel check in desk. It was packaged nicely and nothing spilled when we took it home in the Uber.The crab curry was amazing and I had it with some string hoppers, my two favorite Sri Lankan foods. I live in the USA and we cannot get a Sri Lankan crab curry there. I will be dreaming of this meal when I go home until the next time I’m in SL again. I didn’t interact with anyone at this restaurant, my wife placed the order and I picked it up. I took some pictures of the restaurant while I was picking up the order and it seems like a nice place to have a meal so I may try that next time.I recommend having the Sri Lankan Murunga Leaf Crab Curry from this place, it was awesome! I’ll be back again.
They go out of their way to make customers feel special! It was my mum’s birthday and I had asked if I was able to bring a cake with us.. I got a call to say that they had arranged a table, balloons, Candles and even music to cut the cake! Ever so grateful and thankful for the excellent service provided to us
Just fantastic food. We had the Sri Lankan Curry, Butter Garlic and the Devilled Crab. While all 3 were yummy the Devilled was the least favorite and i would not take it anymore.
It’s was really great to come back to my favourite mud crab place on earth 😉 the same exotic flavours each time every time. Well priced menu ‘ not a rip off at all .
