Meeting between the President and the new IGP
President Ranil Wickremesinghe met with the newly appointed Inspector General of Police, Mr. T. M. W. Deshabandu Tennakoon at the Presidential Secretariat this morning (29).
After assuming the duty as the 36th Inspector General of Police in Sri Lanka, Mr. Deshabandu Tennakoon had a meeting with President Ranil Wickremesinghe.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe congratulated the new Inspector General of Police and had a friendly conversation with him.
Following the tradition of respect, the new Inspector General of Police presented the President with a customary memento.
The new Inspector General of Police in Sri Lanka, Mr. T. M. W. Deshabandu Tennakoon, met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat. President Wickremesinghe congratulated him on his appointment and they engaged in a friendly conversation. As a traditional gesture, Mr. Tennakoon presented the President with a memento. This meeting took place after Mr. Tennakoon assumed his duties as the 36th Inspector General of Police in Sri Lanka.
